We get cleaning and BBQing!

Keep Scotland Beautiful sent us some clean up kits which we used to tidy up the central courtyard, the road and paths surrounding the court. Altogether we collected 15 sacks of waste, leaves, plastics, cans, household packaging etc, a dead rat and bird, pegs and cigarette ends.
We then celebrated with a barbecue, luckily the rain held off for most of the afternoon! About 13 people joined in from about 10 different flats and it went really well, hopefully even more residents will join us next time…

Awesome Blossom

A gorgeous photograph of the cherry trees in the central courtyard taken by a resident. The blossom has created pink ‘snow’ all over the pavement…

Basil Spence Collection

Kay Williams is an Edinburgh resident with an interest in Basil Spence who recently took some photos of the court to add to her collection. She also alerted us to a Basil Spence photo group on the website Flickr which had lots of interesting images to browse. Kay has also kindly given us permission to use her photographs for the main image on this website.

Modern Romance

Last year one of the homes in Claremont Court was featured in Scotland on Sunday’s atHome magazine. The couple that transformed this property have since sold it after living in the court for over ten years and at two different addresses.

The article covers how the couple refurbished their two-bedroom duplex into a contemporary home adding features such as a statement staircase and a kitchen with clean lines and bright accent colours.
